TELEPHONE : At the beginning of this century there were very few telephones in our country. Only the rich could afford them. Now there are millions of phones because their cost has become more affordable. We use telephones every day, and it is almost impossible to imagine our world without them. They have become a factor in our ability to survive. But how often do we think about how they work, why they work or what they look like inside?

TV : Some people spend six, seven, even eight hours a day watching the television but almost no one, except maybe the TV repairman, watches what goes on inside. This television begs the important question, what are we really watching? It demystifies the television, changing it from a miniature theatre into a complex piece of electronics. Whether it's an educational tool or the "Boob Tube" is everyone's personal choice, but this piece leads the viewer to reconsider the television away from its normal reality. What are you watching?

GUN : The Raven MP-25 semi-automatic pistol has revolutionized the handgun business in the U.S. While most guns are made of steel (a difficult metal to mold), the Raven is made of cast zinc with steel inserts placed at the most crucial positions. That's why the Raven costs only a quarter of an average steel gun. Of the 57,000 unidentified hand guns police traced back to their owners last year, 17,000 were Raven P-25's. The manufacturer's suggested list price is $70, but one can be bought on the street for $30.
