Artists Helping Artists Craft Emergency Relief Fund In October, the Craft Emergency Relief Fund launched it's fall fund raising effort with the release of the "Hands for CERF" collection that will be raffled off at the 1999 SOFA Exposition in Chicago. (see schedule below for SOFA dates and times) "Hands for CERF" is an acrylic box filled with 35 miniature hand sculptures assembled by artists working in a variety of mediums. The Craft Emergency relief fund is an organization that helps craft artists in emergency and life threatening situations. In the past 12 years, they have assisted hundreds of artists whose livelihoods were threatened due to illness, accident or natural disaster. Tom is an active supporter of CERF and created this One of a Kind HAND pin for the collection. It is mounted on a stand when not being worn. Tickets for a chance to win the collection are $50.00 each or 5 for $200.00. To purchase your tickets in support of CERF call 802.229.2306. Tom also designed a production CERF Hand pin that sells for $30.00 (not pictured) that is a very simple but elegant version of the pin you see pictured here.
