[ Rusted Caged Heart Locket ] This is a very recent prototype piece that I
am sure will become the design parent of a number of new pieces. Based on the
Space Frame rusted steel cage concept this takes it just a bit further by
incorporating the locket idea. It contains a carved acrylic heart that in
itself may become a design direction.

[ Rusted Wheel Neckpiece ] several years ago, while picking thru the town
dump on a little island up in Maine, I discovered a rusted spool of re-bar tie
wire. It inspired me to make the same "space-frame" jewelry objects out of
this rsuted metal as well as the traditional silver I had been employing. I
quickly used up this spool of "found" metal and then purchased spools of "new"
metal which was un-rusted. So, after a bit of trial and error I accidentally
discovered a chemical process that would instantly produce a rusted surface og
my complerted forms. This "experiment" continues on a regular basis with
ongoing construction of one-of-a-kind pieces.

[ Pin-Up Girl Pin ] A friend of mine, ceramist Rimas Visgardia, collects
pin-up art. While visiting him one evening some years ago he proffered the
possibility of trading for a collection of pin-up cards. With this he opened a
box of cards, the cellophane wrapper intact, that had been unopened since the
1940's. From this box I selected some 300 images which I continue to use to
make collections (6-10) of these pins.
